Palm Beach State wins seven marketing and communications awards
Palm Beach State College has won seven awards for marketing and communications projects from two organizations. All projects were created in-house by members of PBSC’s College Relations and Marketing department.
The College received three Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District II. They are a first-place gold award in the digital class catalog category for College’s online catalog project led by Tish Sailer; a second-place silver award for the Fast Facts brochure designed by Candy Lall Dass in collaboration with Tabatha McDonald and Jeff Nowak; and a third-place bronze award for the Business, Creative Arts and Computer Science program brochures written by Joyce Edelstein and designed by Kara Bailey (Business) and Lall Dass (Creative Arts and Computer Science). The awards were presented during the NCMPR District II Conference Oct. 25-28.
The College also won an Award of Excellence in four categories from the Association of Florida Colleges Communications and Marketing Commission during AFC’s annual conference Nov. 10-13. They are first place in the brochure category (schools with more than 10,000 FTE) for the Fast Facts brochure; first place for Article in a College-Produced Publication for the “Heart’s Desire: Career transformations at Palm Beach State” story written by Edelstein for Contact magazine; and second place for Direct Mail Piece/Campaign (schools with more than 10,000 FTE) for the Palm Beach State College Foundation invitation designed by Lall Dass for the Neil deGrasse Tyson STEAM event. The College also received second place for the winter 2014-15 edition of Contact magazine with Dr. Dennis Gallon on the cover. The magazine (more than 10,000 FTE) is designed by Kari McCormick and written and edited by the College Relations and Marketing team.
